Wearing Wigs for LPT | Supporting The Little Princess Trust’s Incredible Cause
On Thursday 26th April 2024, Simon Constantinou & the team in Cardiff wore a range of wigs and hair pieces for the day to raise awareness of the amazing charity Little Princess Trust , who provide free wigs for children who have suffered hair loss through illness.
The Little Princess Trust has been helping children and young people up to the age of 24 since 2006, by providing free real hair wigs to those who have lost their own hair due to cancer treatment or other conditions, such as Alopecia.
Simon Constantinou has been working with Little Princess Trust for over a decade and the team were absolutely delighted to be awarded the Golden Crown Award in 2019, 2022, and again in 2023. Continually meeting the most amazing & inspiring young people. Seeing first-hand how much of a difference this can make to a young person’s life, giving a sense of normality in an otherwise difficult time.
We want to extend a massive thank you for your incredible support on this fantastic day. It was heartwarming to see so many of you join us as we donned wigs to raise awareness for the incredible charity, Little Princess Trust. For those who baked cakes, donated money or participated in any way, your contribution means the world to us.

So, why did we choose to support Little Princess Trust?
Cancer is a harsh reality, affecting 1 in 2 people in the UK. Most of us are aware of its devastating impacts, but what about the added burden of hair loss, especially for children? Little Princess Trust steps in, providing free wigs for children who have lost their hair due to illness. As part of their network of wig fitters, we witness firsthand the transformative power these wigs hold for these children during their challenging journey.
But did you know that you can contribute beyond monetary donations? You can donate your hair to Little Princess Trust so that they can continue to provide these wonderful human hair wigs for free. If you’re contemplating a significant hair chop, we encourage you to consider donating your locks. We’ll handle the logistics for you and even arrange a certificate of thanks from LPT.
Little Princess Trust Hair Donation Checklist:
- Supporters are encouraged to keep growing until at least 12” (30cm).
- However, a minimum length of 7”/17cm is accepted.
- Donations must be clean, dry hair, from any gender.
- Hair needs to be in great condition (no split ends) and of any natural colour.
- Straight, wavy, curly or chemically straightened hair is accepted.
- Permanently dyed*, bleached/highlighted hair is accepted (*if dye is of a natural colour).
