Here at Simon Constantinou hair salon in Cathays, Cardiff, we are renowned for our inclusive salon and friendly, approachable hairdressers. However, we understand not everyone wants a social experience.
We appreciate that some clients come in their lunch hour, and find they need to work through the appointment without distraction.
Or maybe you are going through something personal and just want some quiet me-time.
Not everyone enjoys the thought of going to a new hair salon. Anxiety is a common emotion that we all experience on some level, and we want you to know that if you book with one of our lovely stylists, they are equally happy to chat away or give you the quiet time you crave while they transform your hair.
We just want you to be comfortable, so adding this quiet hair appointment service to our booking system will give you the opportunity to let us know in advance, putting you at ease before your visit.
What can I expect during a quiet hair appointment?
When you book a quiet haircut, you can expect your stylist to have an initial consultation to make sure they know exactly what you want and how it will suit your lifestyle, then other than relevant hair-related questions, the rest of the time will be quiet and relaxed. Of course, you can talk whenever you want to, however we won’t prompt any unnecessary questions unless you initiate the conversation.
But don’t worry, during a quiet appointment you can still expect the same great service and fantastic hair. And we will still make sure that you are happy with your hair at the end of the session.

Call 02920461191 requesting a ‘Quiet Appointment’ or book online selecting the quiet service option (shown in image below).
We will have magazines available and background music, but feel free to bring a book, or laptop if you want to use the time to work.

What if I'm agitated by noise?
Do you find background noise overwhelming? Do you have neurodivergent needs? If you would you like some extra quiet, our Quiet Room is available on request. It is a room separate to the main salon and is accessed via our garden/car park.
