Wow—what a night! We’re still buzzing with excitement after winning the Legends Award at the Cardiff Life Awards on 6th March 2025 at Cardiff City Stadium. This was a truly special moment for us at O.Constantinou & Sons, celebrating decades of hard work, passion, and commitment to our craft.
The Legends Award isn’t just any award—it’s a recognition of businesses that have stood the test of time, continually innovating and making an impact. To say we’re honoured would be an understatement!

A Legacy Built on Passion and Dedication
For those who don’t know, our story began in the 1960s when Simon Constantinou’s father arrived in the UK from Cyprus with just £7 in his pocket and a dream to build something special. From those humble beginnings, he created a business that has now become a cornerstone of Cardiff’s hair and beauty scene.
Fast forward to today, and we’re proud to still be a family-run salon, evolving and growing while staying true to our values. Whether it’s through pioneering wig services, expanding our hair colour expertise, or introducing sustainable practices, we’ve always aimed to push boundaries and offer the best to our clients.
A Night to Remember
The Cardiff Life Awards are always a highlight of the year, bringing together the best of Cardiff’s businesses. This year was particularly meaningful as we’ve previously won the Hair & Beauty Award three times (2019, 2023 & 2024)—and now, being recognised as Legends is the icing on the cake!
When Simon stepped on stage to accept the award, his speech was from the heart:
“This award isn’t just about what we’ve done recently—it’s about the journey. Whatever we’ve achieved since is nothing compared to what my parents did, coming here and giving us this opportunity. I want to thank our amazing, loyal customers, our long-standing staff, and my dad, who built this from the ground up.”
The cheers were deafening and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house!
