ย We’veย Missed You!

Here at Simon Constantinouโ€™s Hair & Beauty salon, we just wanted to thank you for all your messages of support through this incredibly stressful time. We know that everyone has faced one of the most difficult and confusing times of our lives. COVID19 is a scary, invisible threat, and we know many of you will have dealt directly with the results of this virus.

Our reopening plan is proving to be a very different experience to what you are used to, and you know us, we want to make your experience the absolute best! But the safety of you and our staff is of utmost importance.

So, although we will be ready and overjoyed to be getting back to doing what we love, and seeing all our favourite clients again, our worries and stresses wonโ€™t be over.

Please bear with us whilst we all get used to a new normal, one that may have to keep changing over time.

Hygiene Protocol

The Government has provided public information and guidelines that we are asking our staff members to closely follow.

In addition to this we have added anti-bacterial gel and a box of tissues to all stylist stations and the reception desk.

Hand washing facilities are available in the toilets, both in the main salon and in the back salon (beauty & private room).

Spit screens have been installed on the reception desk and beauty room. And full screens have been placed between stylist stations & basins.

In addition to our usual cleaning routine, we are regularly deep-cleaning the salon with a medical-grade cleaner and frequently cleaning door handles and common area surfaces to minimise risk.

15 minutes will be allowed after every appointment to disinfect the stylist area and sterilise tools.

Our staff have undertaken the Barbicide COVID19 training for sterilising and disinfecting equipment & the workplace. We have undertaken a specific COVID risk assessment, that is available upon request.

Your Appointment & New Regulations

Online booking

We have turned online booking back on and select services are available to book online.

You can call 02920 461191 to book your appointment by phone.

If you are and existing client who is booking a hair colour, please let use know if you have had COVID-19 since your last visit, as you would need an updated skin test 48hr before your appointment.

Please make sure you book all the services you require ahead of time, as we may not be able to accommodate extra services on the day.

Waiting area & car park

Following changes to restrictions on 07/08/21, we have reopened our waiting area and car park. Please note the changes below.

There are limited in the car park situated behind the salon. If arriving via the car park, please call 02920461191 from outside, so that we can come and do a health check before entry.

Parking is also available on the nearby streets. Traffic wardens regularly parole the area, so if parking on Crwys Rd, please be aware of the time limit and if parking off the main road, please be mindful not to park in the residential boxes.

There are limited spaces in the waiting area. Please respect the distance of your fellow clients waiting. If maximum capacity has been reached in the waiting area, you will be asked to wait outside.

Please come alone to your appointment, as we do not have the facilities for family members or friends to wait. Children may be accompanied with one adult only.

Upon arrival

Please arrive on time. You will be asked to confirm that you or a member of your household is not showing symptoms of COVID19. We will provide you with a face mask and hand gel, then we will take your temperature using a non-contact thermometer. We have asked our staff to avoid hugging and hand shakes until this virus is under control.

We ask that you bring minimal items with you. If you have a coat, you will be asked to hang it yourself in a new dedicated area.

Update: We are now able to offer beverages and magazines. Please make sure you wash your hands after handling shared reading material.

PPE

Please respect social distancing of 2 metres where possible. Obviously you will be closer to your stylist or beautician, but you should have the regulated PPE before being in contact.

We will provide you with a disposable mask, gown and towels. Your stylist and beautician will be wearing the government advised PPE

Please note that due to the added PPE and distancing regulations, there will be a ยฃ5 PPE surcharge added to every visit, or a ยฃ10 surcharge for balayage/colour corrections.

Symptoms of COVID-19

It is so important to inform us if you are showing any symptoms of COVID-19 or if anyone in your household has come down with symptoms.

The main symptoms of coronavirus are:

HIGH TEMPERATURE โ€“ this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)

NEW, CONTINUOUS COUGH โ€“ this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)

LOSS OR CHANGE TO YOUR SENSE OF SMELL OR TASTE – this means you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal

โ• Please do not come to the salon if you are at all unwell. Please call the salon to let us know if you need to cancel your appointment.

โ• Upon your visit, please regularly keep your hands clean, washing thoroughly, for at least 20 seconds with soap and hot water.

โ• We ask that you use the tissues provided to catch all coughs and sneezes and then bin the tissue โ€“ then wash your hands with soap and water, or use a sanitiser.
